<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel electrophoretic analysis system and a gel electrophoretic analysis method capable of attaining elongation of a gel lifetime and simultaneously excellent separation of various molecules such as proteins having wide-range molecular weights including molecules having a low molecular weight, and a cathode buffer solution used therefor. <P>SOLUTION: When performing gel electrophoretic analysis, this cathode buffer solution including aspartic acid or glutamic acid is used.
