<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of facilitating estimation of a processing time necessary for backup processing or recovery processing by regularly acquiring a predetermined size of differential backup. <P>SOLUTION: This backup processing method for performing backup of data used in an information processor including a storage means comprises steps of storing, in a case that data are updated, update bit information showing that the data are updated in an update bit map management table stored in the storage means; instructing, in a case that the number of update bit information in the update bit map management table reaches a differential backup reference value for estimating the processing time of differential backup, backup of the data corresponding to the update bit information concerned; and reading, in response to the backup instruction, the update bit information stored in the update bit map management table in the storage means to acquire the backup of the data corresponding to the update bit information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
