PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric type power steering device capable of detecting the earth fault of a resolver without error. SOLUTION: The difference between the minimum output potential Vout Min of a first differential amplifier OP1 in the case of non-earth fault of the resolver which may be produced by variations in the values of a first resistance R1, a second resistance R2, a third resistance R3 and a fourth resistance R4 and the DC resistance Rdc of the resolver, and the highest potential Vout Max in the case of the earth fault of the resolver is set so that the difference becomes more than a predetermined margin for preventing error earth fault detection at the side of a CPU 62.
