PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for electronic module having a locking means which has a sufficient bending displacement even if it is of low height. SOLUTION: The socket for module 41 forms a housing part for housing a module by a surrounding wall 12 and a restricting part for determining the housing position of an opposite module M to be housed in the surrounding wall. An elastic member extending in the surrounding direction of the surrounding wall 12 of the module is directly formed at the surrounding wall or the elastic member is fitted to the surrounding wall to make a locking member 20, and the locking member has a fixing part 22 and a locking part 23 which elastically displaces toward outside of the surrounding wall by bending of the elastic member respectively provided at the location mutually separated in periphery direction. When the module is housed in the housing part, the elastic member receives contact pressure from the module and by generating elastic bending displacement, makes housing of the module into the housing part possible, and when the module reaches the prescribed location, the above elastic bending displacement is released or reduced and the locking part becomes lockable to the module.
