PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which can reduce the entire thickness without generating a rotation moment with a pivotal support part as a fulcrum, in a sub-chassis. SOLUTION: The recording device is provided with a main chassis 2 on which an electric motor 1 for rotating a recording medium is mounted, a sub-chassis 4 which is supported by the main chassis 2 so that the tilt can be adjusted by pivots 3 and 3, and an optical head 6 which is supported by the sub-chassis 4 and writes and/or reads data on/from the recording medium. The pivots 3 and 3 are extended from both side parts of the sub-chassis 4 in parallel with a tilt center line, and the main chassis 2 is provided with flat springs 10 and 10 which are brought into contact with peripheral surfaces of the pivots 3 and 3 to elastically press the pivots 3 and 3 in a radial direction.
