PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for laying a tile by which the tile is positioned accurately by simple work. SOLUTION: The method comprises a process for sticking a masking material along a datum line provided on a building base material for positioning upon laying the tile, a process for applying an adhesive agent on a surface of the building base material, a process for removing the masking material, and a process for sticking the tile. A boundary line which is formed after removal of the masking material between the surface on which the adhesive agent is applied and a surface of the base material is used as a guide for positioning of the tile.
