PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric washing machine in which a powder detergent is smoothly fed into an outer tub. SOLUTION: A detergent feeder 13 is positioned in the front side area of the upper cover 9 of an outer frame 1 and installed in the state of being opened upwards on the upper cover. A detergent water supply path between the detergent feeder and a detergent water supply solenoid valve 48a for supplying water into the detergent feeder is inclined and arranged such that roughly all of water supplied from the detergent water supply solenoid valve flows into the detergent feeder, and the detergent water supply solenoid valve is controlled so as to be opened while the other water supply solenoid valve is opened.
