PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating device capable of simply and accurately treating a sample, such as a biological sample. SOLUTION: This sample treating device (treating device) 1 has a column body (cylindrical body) 2, a first filter 5, a second filter 6, a floating stirrer (stirrer) 8, a rodlike operating member 7, and an extension cup (extension cylinder) 3, wherein the column body 2 has a discharge port 22 capable of discharging a liquid at a top edge part thereof, the first filter 5 is fastened near to the discharge port 22 in the column body 2, the second filter 6 is positioned nearer to a base edge side than the first filter 5 in the column body 2, so as to be moved in an axial direction of the column body 2, and holds a liquid in a space 20 formed between the first filter 5 and the second filter 6 itself, the floating stirrer 8 is received in the space 20, the operating member 7 operates to transfer the second filter 6 in the axial direction of the column body 2, and the extension cup 3 is mounted on a base edge part of the column body 2, so as to be freely attached and detached.
