PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate attaching/detaching method which uses a plate attaching/detaching means for softly pushing up the whole of a screen plate, which can reduce a clearance between a screen and matter to be printed, which can prolong the life of the plate, and which minimizes distortion of a transfer image. SOLUTION: A hollow elastic body 40 is provided on the outer peripheral part of the matter 30 to be printed, which is placed on a top surface of a table 10 of a printer doing screen printing. The hollow elastic body 40 is housed in an elastic body storage groove, and connects an air supply circuit. The screen 20 is pushed up by supplying pressure air to the hollow elastic body 40 with constant timing after the start of printing so as to inflate the hollow elastic body 40.
