PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily reduce fluctuation of grain size quality of crushed matter due to difference of properties such as size, strength and hardness of raw materials charged into a crusher to be easily improved. SOLUTION: A crushing apparatus is provided with the crusher of the raw material, a feeder for feeding the raw material to the crusher, a level detecting means for detecting the level of the raw material in the crusher and a feeder controlling means which stops the feeder when feed of the raw material exceeds a predetermined level and operates the feeder when feed of the raw material is less than the predetermined level based on a detection signal of the level detecting means. Further, a timer means which adjustably sets a time period with which the feeder controlling means stops the feeder and operates the feeder based on the detection signal, is provided.
