<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective liquid crystal display device which is constructed so as not to make a part of incident light invade into a switching element arranged on a semiconductor substrate from an electrode gap formed between mutually adjacent reflective pixel electrodes by taking respective wavelength of red, green and blue light into consideration and thereby setting width dimensions of the electrode gaps formed between mutually adjacent reflective pixel electrodes when light leakage in the switching element caused by a part of the light incident from the transparent substrate side is minimized. <P>SOLUTION: The reflective liquid crystal display device comprises: a plurality of switching elements 14 formed on the semiconductor substrate 11 for respective pixels; a multilayer film 25-30 laminated on the upper side of the plurality of switching elements 14; a plurality of reflective pixel electrodes 30 connected to the respective switching elements 14 in the uppermost layer of the multilayer film 25-30 and further formed so as to have prescribed gaps 30a; a transparent counter electrode 41 formed on a transparent substrate 42; and a liquid crystal 40 sealed in between the sides of the semiconductor substrate 11 and the transparent substrate 42 disposed so as to make the plurality of reflective pixel electrodes 30 and the transparent counter electrode 41 placed opposite to each other.
