<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen an amount of a webbing pulled out unnecessarily after the actuation of a pretensioner. <P>SOLUTION: In a webbing winder 10, a lock pawl 78 cannot be meshed with a lock gear 26. When the pretensioner mechanism 34 is actuated to make a clutch plate 42 rotate in a winding direction, a lock stopper 86 rotates together with the clutch plate 42 and disengages the lock stopper 86 from the lock pawl 78, which is then rotated by a compression spring 70 to be set capable of engaging. As a result, when a rotational force in a pull-out direction is applied to the lock gear 26 by a load applied by an occupant after the actuation of the pretensiner mechanism 34, the lock pawl 78 is engaged with the lock gear 26 to prevent pulling out of the webbing 20 to lessen the amount of webbing 20 pulled out unnecessarily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
