<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of preventing, as much as possible, other equipment from being interfered by an exchanged reserve channel if a defective channel where an interference radio wave from the other equipment is detected, is exchanged for the reserve channel. <P>SOLUTION: In cordless telephone equipment of a frequency hopping spectrum spreading scheme comprised of a handset and a base unit including main control sections 100, 200 for controlling the entire units, respectively, the main control section 100 of the handset or the main control section 200 of the base unit holds partial channels to be used for a call as channels for use among a plurality of channels, holds the remaining channels of the plurality of channels as reserve channels and divides all the channels into a plurality of channel groups according to levels of frequencies. If a defective channel occurs, the defective channel is exchanged for any reserve channel in a channel group to which the incurred defective channel does not belong, in the plurality of channel groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
