<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction of the number of required members, reduction of a function block area, reduction of power consumption, speed-up of processing speed, or reduction of output latency by using a processing memory of a special structure with conventionally-developed prescribed DCT algorithm as a base to promet resource sharing. <P>SOLUTION: This DCT processor used for a discrete cosine transform has: a storage/processing means performing a permutation to data; and a calculation means calculating and outputting the data according to the prescribed DCT algorithm. The data are looped prescribed times between the storage/processing means and the calculation means, and a result of the discrete cosine transform is obtained on the basis of the data read from an output part of the calculation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
