<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing a plant using a sphagnum culture medium, and to provide a means for culturing an aquatic plant. <P>SOLUTION: This method for growing the plant comprises using the culture medium which comprises "the sphagnum culture medium so structured that dried sphagnum is inserted into an open hole of a container treated to have a means of being floated on water, so as to form an aggregate of dried sphagnum having a definite shape, then the formed aggregate of the dried sphagnum is contacted with one or more units of growing sphagnum in a state of being gathered, further the aggregate of the dried sphagnum is substantially exposed at a bottom part of the culture medium, and furthermore a point of growth of the growing sphagnum is substantially exposed above the aggregate of the dried sphagnum", keeping a plant body or a seed of a plant other than the sphagnum in a state of being contacted with a part of the growing sphagnum of the culture medium, and floating the culture medium on water in a state of making the growing sphagnum turn up, so as to grow the plant other than the sphagnum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
