<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent use of an imitation toner cartridge in a copying machine. <P>SOLUTION: A storing means having, for example, a ROM and a terminal for electrical connection, is provided on part of a toner cartridge and code data guaranteeing the quality of toner, such as code data of a toner manufacturing company, is stored in the storing means.
