PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner which cleans appropriately when a user intends to. SOLUTION: A cleaner 110 has a cleaning section 120 which vacuums dust automatically according to rules or procedures defined beforehand, a timer 124 which detects timing, an operation button section 140 which receives input of the timing, a storage battery 118 which stores electric power through battery charge, a memory 126 which memorizes time necessary for charging the storage battery 118 and a starting time to charge it, and a control section 122 which controls the operation button section 140 to receive the input of the starting time of battery charge, computes time when it can start cleaning according to the time for charging the storage battery 118 and the starting time to charge it and prohibits the cleaning section 120 from vacuuming dust within the time specified.
