PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rectangular waveguide in which dimensions in height and width of its opening part are matched to the specification, a filter having a blocking characteristic of an electromagnetic wave of a microwave and a millimeter wave is produced at low cost and can reduce mounting man-hours of the filter, and also to provide microeave device using the rectangular waveguide. SOLUTION: A frequency down converter comprises a housing 1, a shield 2, and a circuit board 3 arranged between the housing 1 and the shield 2, and the shield 2 stores the circuit board 3 and is fixed to the housing by screws 4. The front face of the housing 1 is provided with an opening part 6 of the waveguide 5, a space 5a is formed diagonally from the opening part 6 to the upper part of the housing 1, and the rectangular waveguide 5 is configured in accordance with a space 2a of the shield 2. An angle made between an opening face of the opening part 6 and a bottom face of the waveguide 5 is made to be an acute angle, and the inclination of the waveguide 5 by the acute angle sets a frequency that needs cutoff frequency.
