PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph a still picture using entire CCD output pixels while photographing an animation in an imaging apparatus using an interlace CCD by processing the still picture and animation by time sharing. SOLUTION: A selection means 5 selects the output of a first memory means 2 and that of an IP conversion means 4 when the animation and still picture are photographed, respectively, for inputting to a camera signal processing means 6. One field period is divided into an animation signal processing period and a still picture signal processing one, and the selection means 5 is changed by using a determination signal for determining the period, thus executing the processing of the animation and still picture in parallel. And a synchronization signal is converted, thus expanding a vertical blanking period, and shortening still picture processing time. Further, when the still picture is not photographed, the supply of a clock is stopped in the expanded vertical blanking period, thus reducing power. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
