PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide binoculars constituted of an inexpensive material, causing little deviation of an optical axis or the like, and having strong structure. SOLUTION: In the binoculars, the outside of a main body is covered with an external member so as to extend over space between the optical axes of a pair of objectives, and an upper external part 11U and a lower external part 11D in the top-and-bottom direction of the external member putting the optical axes in-between are coupled with each other by a reinforcing part (battery housing part 19) inside the main body. By principally using resin material as the external member, the binoculars having a shake correction mechanism and having hermetically sealed structure are constituted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
