PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new charge transporting polymer that has excellent solubility in a solvent, is readily formed into a thin film and is useful as an electronic material and other resin materials, to provide a method for producing a new charge transporting polymer that has excellent solubility in a solvent, is readily formed into a thin film and is useful as an electronic material and other resin materials and to obtain a polymer composition for an organic electroluminescent element for providing an organic electroluminescent element having excellent luminescence property and durability and an organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: The charge transporting polymer comprises a specific repeating unit.
