PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having a belt reinforcing layer composed of spirally wound cords, and capable of securing high maneuvering stability performance and high durability; and a manufacturing method of the pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 100 has the belt reinforcing layer 6 formed by spirally winding the cords 6a in the tire equatorial direction in a crown part or a sidewall part. The cords 6a are arranged in a plurality in substantially parallel to each other, and the respective cords 6a are cut in at least one place on the tire circumference.
