PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an electric mounting stably which requires heating with a short baton, not depending on the material or size of the plate supporting and fixing a recording element substrate. SOLUTION: In the ink-jet recording head which is equipped with the recording element substrates having two or more recording elements discharging a recording liquid and electrodes for transmitting electric signals, a first plate for supporting and fixing the recording element substrates and an external wiring substrate which has electric terminals electrically connected to each electrode of each recording element substrate, the first plate has an opening at the part located on the electrode rear face, and an electric joining process is performed while directly heating the rear face of the recording element substrates through the opening using a heating means.
