BOOKBINDING APPARATUS, BOOKBINDING SYSTEM, AND BOOKBINDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple and compact bookbinding apparatus capable of performing bookbinding processing without a hindrance even if an adhesive runs down, a bookbinding system, and bookbinding method. SOLUTION: This bookbinding apparatus B comprises: an adhesive application part 22 for applying the adhesive to an edge of a bundle S1 of sheets in a state wherein the bundle S1 of sheets is almost vertically erected; a storage part 34 wherein the bundle S1 of sheets, bookbound by being coated with the adhesive by means of the adhesive application part 22, is accumulated and stored in the almost vertically erected state; a carrying means for carrying the bundle of sheets to the storage part 34 from the adhesive application part 22 along an almost vertical carrying path under a state wherein the bundle S1 of sheets is almost vertically erected; and a cutting part 23 which is provided midway through the carrying path between the adhesive application part 22 and the storage part 34 and which cuts the edge of the bundle S1 of sheets in the state wherein the bundle S1 of sheets are almost vertically erected.
