摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device to accurately, safely, and intuitively operate robots, and particularly to conduct programming for the purpose. SOLUTION: This invention concerns a method of operating multi-axis handling equipment, such as multi-axis industrial-use robots, by means of a manual control device. The operating method, in which the position and method for placement (positioning) of the control device are measured in the air, and measurement results are used in operation of the handling equipment, is characterized by the reciprocating execution of corresponding movements of the control device and handling equipment. By dividing the movement of robots into short, individually operable partial movements through the control device, as proposed herein, the stated target can be achieved despite inaccuracy that unavoidably arises in the sensor unit used.
