PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire applicable to a gas shielded metal-arc welding method, that is frequently used for welding particularly on the premises of a factory or at a job site, when constructing a steel structure composed of a high temperature fireproof structural steel having excellent refractoriness at a high temperature of 700-800°C. SOLUTION: The gas shielded metal-arc welding wire for structural steel of a fireproof building contains, by mass %, 0.01-0.1% C, 0.1-1.1% Si, 0.7-2.3% Mn, 0.004-1.4% Cr, 0.1-1.8% Mo, 0.004-0.8% V, 0.004-0.2% Nb, 0.001-0.1% Al, 0.001-0.25% Ti,≤0.03% P,≤0.03% S,≤0.007% N,≤0.008% O, and the balance inevitable impurities and Fe.
