PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer which can maintain stable decomposing performance even in outdoor environment where the garbage disposer is exposed to the weather, rarely develops trouble and thereby is convenient to use. SOLUTION: This garbage disposer is provided with a treating tank 2 for subjecting the garbage to decomposing treatment, an air supply path 7 which makes the treating tank communicate with outdoor air, an air blower 16 which is disposed in the air supply path and introduces the outdoor air in the treating tank and a filter 12 which is installed at an outdoor air intake port of the air supply path. The air supply path 7 is formed in a vertical direction and the air blower 16 is installed at its upper part and the filter 12 is installed at its lower part. Thereby large dust and large trash can be prevented from being sucked into the air blower from outside, and further, even when rain water enters from the outdoor air intake port of the air supply path, the rainwater does not enter an air blower section. Even in environment of outdoor installation, deficiency of air flow quantity does not occur, garbage treating performance can be stabilized and the garbage disposer which rarely develops trouble and is convenient to use can be realized.
