摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode having good oxygen ion conductivity at an intermediate temperature region and to improve the performance of a fuel cell in an intermediate temperature region. <P>SOLUTION: The cathode 114 is formed by coating in multiple layers a composite composed of a compound oxide B having mainly oxygen ion conductivity carrying an oxygen dissociation promoting catalyst C and an inorganic material A having mainly electron conductivity on an electrolyte membrane 112.
