<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell having an air electrode supporting body made of perovskite oxide containing at lease lanthanum and manganese, especially, having excellent power generating property at operation temperature of about 700°C. <P>SOLUTION: The solid oxide fuel cell is composed of an air electrode supporting body made of perovskite oxide containing at lease lanthanum and manganese, a solid electrolyte layer made of lanthanum-gallium complex oxide formed on the outside of the air electrode supporting body, a fuel electrode formed on the outside of the solid electrolyte layer, and a first intermediate layer composed of cerium-containing oxide expressed by general formula; Ce<SB>1-x</SB>Ln<SB>x</SB>O<SB>2</SB>, (wherein, Ln denotes a combination of one or more elements chosen from La, Nd, Sm, Eu, gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sc, and Y, 0.30≤x≤0.50). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
