<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar battery capable of preventing degradation of battery performance due to evaporated electrolyte collecting outside a battery laminated body inside a battery outer package. <P>SOLUTION: The bipolar battery is provided with a battery element in which a bipolar electrode made of a cathode active material layer 12 formed on one face of a current collector 11 and an anode active material layer 13 formed on the other is laminated pinching an electrolyte layer 14, an electrode tab 30 electrically connected to an outermost layer of the battery element for taking out electric current, an outer package sealing the battery element, and an insulating member 50 for insulating exposed parts of the current collectors 11, 16 and the electrode tab 30 of the battery element in the outer package. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
