<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of giving higher convenience to a user by using non-volatile memory information loaded on a cartridge type recording material supply container. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the image forming apparatus, the recording material for forming an image is stored in the attachable/detachable recording material cartridge, and a non-volatile memory means for storing at least individual information peculiar to the recording material cartridge and prescribed general information is arranged in the recording material cartridge, and the recording material cartridge is loaded so as to supply the recording material to an image forming means, the image forming apparatus is provided with a communication means for reading the general information stored by the non-volatile memory means of the recording material cartridge and transmitting the information to another terminal apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
