<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which shifts to an energy saving mode excepting a period during executing a predetermined operation, and exhibits a sufficient energy-saving effect. <P>SOLUTION: A PDL board 13 for performing network-related processing is brought into a connectable state.
