<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member having a photochromic coating layer excellent in adhesion property with an optical substrate, and to provide a curable composition to be used for the optical member. <P>SOLUTION: The curable composition contains (1) a radically polymerizable monomer, (2) an organosilicon compound having an epoxy group at one molecular end, (3) an amine compound, (4) a photochromic compound and (5) a photopolymerization initiator, wherein the organosilicon compound (2) having an epoxy group at one molecular end is a compound having a silanol group or a group which generates a silanol group through hydrolysis.
