PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block the passage of a four-wheel vehicle fitted with a vehicle-mounted ETC device for exclusive use on a two-wheel vehicle.

SOLUTION: Only two-wheel vehicles roadside ETC units 101A and 106A exclusively for a two-wheel vehicle can pass through, and the roadside ETC units 101A and 106A receive only information transmitted from a vehicle-mounted ETC device for exclusive use on a two-wheel vehicle. Roadside ETC units 102A-105A for exclusive use on a four-wheel vehicle receive only information transmitted from a vehicle-mounted ETC device for exclusive use on a four-wheel vehicle. By this arrangement, even when the vehicle-mounted ETC devices for exclusive use on a two-wheel vehicle are installed on a four-wheel vehicle, the passage of the four-wheel vehicle can be blocked.
