PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture toner having excellent low temperature fixing property and preferable pulverizing property and storage property. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing toner includes steps of melting and kneading a source material containing two or more kinds of polyesters, heat treating the material, pulverizing and classifying. The two or more kinds of polyesters comprise at least one kind of amorphous polyester. The heat treating step is carried out under the conditions of temperature t(°C) and time h (hour) satisfying (a):Tg<SB>1</SB>≤t≤Tm-10 and (b):h≥100/(t-30), wherein t>30, Tg<SB>1</SB>is the glass transition temperature (°C) of the melted and kneaded material before the heat treating step, and Tm is the lowest softening point (°C) in the softening points of the two or more kinds of polyesters.
