PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display securing luminance of a backlight and having a plated resin holder integrated with the backlight. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display provided with a liquid crystal display panel, the backlight disposed in the rear surface of the liquid crystal display panel and having at least a light guide body and the holder housing the liquid crystal display panel and the backlight, the holder is made of a first resin which can be plated and a white second resin whose plating condition is different from that of the first resin in two colors, the first resin is plated and the white second resin which is not plated is disposed on the side surface of the light guide body.
