PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for a liquid crystal display panel having excellent operability at the time when an injection port for a liquid crystal material of the liquid crystal display panel is sealed, and preventing permeation of moisture in the inner part of the liquid crystal display panel, and also to provide the liquid crystal display panel using the same. SOLUTION: In the sealant for sealing the injection port for the liquid crystal material of the liquid crystal display panel and the liquid crystal display panel using the same, the sealant 5 contains an inorganic filler consisting of a plurality of particles and has 30 to 70 vol.% content of the inorganic filler and≤20 m<SP>2</SP>total surface area of the particles which constitute the inorganic filler contained in 1 cm<SP>3</SP>of sealant 5.
