PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment system capable of efficiently reducing an organic material and particularly a COD contained in a treated liquid after carrying out the enzyme treatment of jelly fishes in water to be treated. SOLUTION: This water treatment system 1 includes an electrolytic water generator 2 for generating electrolytic water as a solution containing bromine by carrying out, for example an electrochemical technique of sea water, e.g. electrolytic treatment by electrodes 23 and 24, and a thermal decomposition apparatus 3 for adding the electrolytic water generated by the electrolytic water generator 2 to the water to be treated containing the organic material, for example, the treated water after carrying out the enzyme treatment of the jelly fishes, to heat.
