An instrument panel assembly (10) is provided for an article of manufacture such as an automotive vehicle. The assembly (10) typically includes at least one framework structure (12) and at least one construction (18). The framework structure (12) and the construction (18) are typically attached (e.g., adhesively secured) to each other in a manner that assists in the formation of at least a portion of a system such as a heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The framework structure maybe made of steel and/or aluminium, the one construction of synthetic material, wherein the gluing surface and preferably the synthetic one is a low energy surface (less that 45mj/m2) not necessitating a treatment or a prinerization for applying the adhesive, this one comprizing an organoborane/amine complex. A covering part (20) of a blow molded material can be added. |
