<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active carbon for removing gaseous phthalic esters, which can efficiently adsorb large molecules like those of phthalic esters. <P>SOLUTION: The active carbon for removing the gaseous phthalic acid esters is ≥0.60 cc/g, more preferably ≥0.7 cc/g in the total pore volume and 10 to 70 vol%, more preferably 30 to 70 vol% in the ratio that the meso pore volume determined from the difference between the micro pore volume determined by a t plot method and the total pore volume is occupied in the total pore volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
