<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spout which facilitates opening/closing of a cap and a hardly self-supporting container fitted with the spout. <P>SOLUTION: The spout comprises (i) a cap 17 which has a flat and circular top board 17a that is deformed into an upwardly projecting state and into a downward dented state and remains in both states unless being depressed, and a plurality of engaging nails 17b... which are bent down inwardly and are formed consecutively on the periphery of the top board 17a. Each engaging nail 17b widens outward when the top board 17a is depressed, and contracts inward when the top board 17a is pressed upward. The spout also comprises (ii) a spout body 11 which has a cap engaging projecting edge 13, with which the engaging nails 17b are engaged elastically, on the outer periphery of a top opening of a main cylinder 12, and a finger hooking flange 14 which has a given width and are formed below the cap engaging projecting edge 13 on the outer periphery of the main cylinder 12.
