<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensation sheet with which adhesiveness and good surface shape are made compatible with each other, its manufacturing method, a polarizing plate arranged with the optical compensation sheet one one side of a polarizing film, and a liquid crystal display device of a high display grade having the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: A method for incorporating at least one kind of the inorganic salt of organic carboxylic acid into a composition for forming an alignment film in the method for manufacturing the optical compensation sheet by subjecting the surface of a transparent support to an adhesion imparting treatment, then applying a composition for forming an alignment film to form the alignment film and applying a coating liquid including a liquid crystalline compound thereon to form an optical anisotropic layer, the optical compensation sheet manufactured by the method, the polarizing plate arranged with the optical compensation sheet on one side of the polarizing film, and the liquid crystal display device having the polarizing plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
