<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application start device that keeps a waiting user from feeling uneasy when starting a predetermined application such as a TV application on a generally used OS, by informing the user of a fact that the application is being started. <P>SOLUTION: The application start device, which starts a TV application from any of power states of a computer containing a shutdown state, a hibernation state and a standby state, comprises a start event input part 1 for inputting a start event of the TV application in any power state of the computer, a start event detection part 2 for detecting the input start event, and a start preparation state indication part 3A for indicating that the TV application is being started until the TV application is started upon the start event detection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
