PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical control method and a corresponding method for allowing reduction in the number of required devices for performing a series of processes required for boring a spectacle lens. SOLUTION: This boring device has a baseplate 1, an installing means 3 of a lens 5, a rotary means 9 for rotating the lens 5 (a first degree of freedom) according to the first axis 7, and a support column 11 having a head part 15. The installing means 3 and the support column 11 can move between mutual ones (a second degree of freedom). The support column 11 is connected to the baseplate 1, and has a first end part rotatable (a third degree of freedom) around a second end part. The head part 15 is connected to the column 11 by a parallel movement means (a fourth degree of freedom). The device has only these four degrees of freedom so as to fix a relative position between the head part 15 and the lens 5.
