PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line carrier control system realizing inexpensive and efficient demand control, leak monitor, messaging, and the like, with small number of components utilizing existing infrastructure. SOLUTION: The power line carrier control system 1000 for transmitting signals through the power line of a consumer electric facility for supplying power to a load comprises a contact information output unit 100 outputting an on/off information signal for controlling operation of the load 500, a center modem 200 outputting the on/off information signal onto the power line 300 while modulating to a control telegram, a terminal modem 400 outputting the control telegram while demodulating to the on/off information signal, and the load 500 receiving the on/off information signal wherein the load 500 at a remote place is controlled by the on/off information signal being outputted from the contact information output unit 100.
