PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst composition improving high speed curing and properties of coated film and substitutable for an organotin catalyst in producing a polyurethane resin using an aliphatic isocyanate and provide a method for producing the polyurethane resin using the same. SOLUTION: The polyurethane resin is produced by reacting a polyol with the organic polyisocyanate in the presence of the catalyst composition for producing the polyurethane resin containing a metal oxychloride and aβ-diketone compound and, if needed, an additive.
