PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation button in which even in the case that an operation panel is installed in a cabinet body while a power supply is turned on, the erroneous operation of a switch is prevented from being conducted during the installation. SOLUTION: In the operation button comprising a panel member 14, an operation portion 11 provided in the panel member 14, an acting portion 12 for acting in accordance with the deformation of a hinge 13 caused by pushing the operation portion 11, and a switch 15 provided to face the acting portion 12, the operation portion 11 includes a control member 18 for controlling the operation portion 11 not to project by more than a predetermined amount from the panel member 14, and when the operation portion 11 is not pushed, the operation button has a gap 20 between the panel member 14 and the control member 18 or a buffer member for buffering a pushing force by the operation portion 11.
