PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave power transmitter that can be made smaller while securing stable operation. SOLUTION: This microwave power transmitter is provided with a transmitting part 1 for outputting a transmission signal, a power amplifier 2 for amplifying the transmission signal outputted from the transmitting part 1 to a high-powered transmission signal, a circulator 3 for sending an output of the power amplifier 2 to an antenna terminal 4 and outputting a reflected wave sent from the antenna terminal 5 to a reflected wave terminal Rf, a terminator 6 for terminating the reflected wave outputted from the reflected wave terminal Rf of the circulator 3, a probe type detector 5 for detecting the reflected wave sent from the reflected wave terminal Rf of the circulator 3 to the terminator 6, and a control circuit 7 for stopping an output of the transmitting part 1 when the level of a detection signal obtained by detecting the level by the probe type detector 5 is not lower than a prescribed threshold.
