PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative and impressive display device, with both the light-dark and three-dimensional appearance of molding by transmitted light combined. SOLUTION: The display device having a three-dimensional configuration, such that the central section forms thin plane, thickening board thickness stepwise toward rim sides, which is equipped with a transmission plate 3 of milk white color with optical transparency, a liquid crystal display element 2 (display panel) of transmission-type, deployed at the front face side of this transmission plate 3, to make seeable the transmission plate 3 and a light-emitting diode 7 (light source) placed on the rear face side of the transmission plate 3.
