摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality inspection method and a quality inspection instrument for an endless metallic belt, which can improve inspection accuracy. SOLUTION: First and second height detection sensors 24, 25 which are arranged at a loose side entrance section 18 and a tight side exit section 16, respectively, detect height values E1, E2 of first and second detection elements, and a judging section 26 calculates a detection difference value G [G=E1-E2], compares the detection difference value G with a reference difference value GL("0") and judges whether or not the endless metallic belt 1 as well as an object element 4 are acceptable. Since the above method differs from a conventional technique in which the quality is judged by measuring a relative position of adjacent elements, it is not influenced by accuracy of locking positions of the adjacent elements and furthermore, does not cause an incorrect judgement to be made due to the influence, thereby improving the accuracy of quality judgement by just that much.
